Friends & Players
Scorecard tracks scores for players, not just user accounts. This means you can keep stats for your whole group — even people who don't have an account yet.
Players vs. friends
A player is anyone who participates in a match. Players are created when you add them to a match (by name), and their stats are tracked from that point on.
A friend is a player whose account is linked to yours. When a player becomes a friend, their stats are tracked across all devices and accounts — not just on yours.
Adding friends
Go to Friends in the navigation drawer and tap Add a friend. Enter the email address associated with their Google or Microsoft account.
Scorecard sends them an invitation email with a link. When they click the link and sign in, their account is linked to their player record on your account.
Finding friends nearby
When you're at the same table as someone, you can add each other as friends instantly using the Find nearby feature. Tap the button on the Friends page to open the nearby discovery screen.
Share your code: Display your unique QR code or 6-character code. Your friend can scan the QR code with their phone's camera, or enter the code manually.
Scan a code: Use your camera to scan a friend's QR code, or type in their 6-character code. Once scanned, you'll both be added as friends instantly — no email confirmation needed.
Codes expire after 5 minutes for security. If a code expires, just generate a new one.
Viewing a friend's stats
From the Friends page, tap on any friend's name to see their full stats — win rates, game history, and how they stack up against you head-to-head.
Player merging
If someone shows up in your player list under multiple names (e.g. "John" and "John Smith"), you can merge them into a single player record. Their combined stats will be recalculated.
Find the merge option in the Friends page or in the individual player settings.
Guest players
Players who don't have (or don't want) a Scorecard account can still be tracked as guest players. Their stats live on your account. If they ever sign up later, you can invite them as a friend to link their account to the existing stats.
