Entering Scores

Once a match is started, the scorekeeper enters results after each round. Scorecard calculates all the math automatically and updates everyone's score in real time.

The scoreboard

The match page shows a running scoreboard for all teams or players. You can see:

  • Current scores for each team or player
  • A round-by-round history table with each round's results
  • Game-specific information like current bags count (Spades) or vulnerability (Bridge)

Entering a round

As the scorekeeper, tap the Enter results button to open the round entry form. What you enter depends on the game:

  • Bidding games (Spades, Up & Down the River, Euchre, Bridge, Pinochle) — enter bids first, then tricks won
  • Avoidance games (Hearts) — enter how many hearts and the queen of spades each player took
  • Rummy games (Gin Rummy, 500 Rummy, Canasta) — enter points scored per player
  • Cribbage — enter play-phase and show-phase points separately for both players

After you submit, Scorecard applies the game's scoring rules and updates the scoreboard immediately.

Editing a round

Made a mistake? You can edit any round in a match — tap the round row in the history table to open it for editing. The scores for all subsequent rounds are automatically recalculated.

Note: Only the scorekeeper can edit rounds. If you're not the scorekeeper, ask the match creator to reassign the role to you.

Changing the dealer

For games that rotate the dealer (Bridge, Pinochle), Scorecard tracks whose deal it is. If the deal ever gets out of sync, you can manually adjust it from the match options menu.

Completing a match

For most games, Scorecard detects when the win condition is met (e.g., a team reaches the target score) and automatically marks the match as complete. The winner is highlighted in the final scoreboard.

You can also manually complete or delete a match from the match options menu at any time.

Viewing completed matches

Completed matches appear in Recent games on the home screen and in the full Game Log. Each match shows the final scores and a round-by-round breakdown.
